About Political Science

The department of Political Science is one of the oldest departments of Govt College Jukhala, Bilaspur since 2007. The courses offered by the department are affiliated to Himachal Pradesh University Shimla. Department has implemented the choice based credit system (CBCS) for grading B.A. students as per the guidelines of HPU. The objectives of the discipline are to make students familiarise and understand the concepts of political theory. Also to help them understand and distinguish between basic concepts like political theory, political thought and political philosophy. Students can relate the concepts and facts with the political realities of the country and different parts of the world and assess how global, national and regional developments affect polity and society.
In addition to this, the discipline is career oriented in nature that opens many spheres for them after its completion.
Since its inception the department is doing great job of putting efforts to achieve the academic goals of the students.
