A WORD TO THE STUDENTS

  • The candidates seeking admission must bring all the original documents and must be accompanied by their parents/guardians at the time of admission/counselling.

  • While in campus, always keep your I-Card with you.

  • Read the Notice Board daily.

  • Don’t bring outsiders to the college.

  • Use of the mobile phones is strictly prohibited in the campus.

  • Smoking and use of other tobacco products is a punishable offence under law, so it is strictly banned in the college.

  • It is mandatory for all the students to attend college functions including Annual Function, Athletic Meet etc.

ZERO TOLERANCE TO RAGGING

Ragging is a punishable offence. Ragging means any act, conduct or practice by which dominant power of senior students is brought to bear on the freshly enrolled or in any way considered junior by other students which involves physical or psychological assault or threat to other students or use of force of violation of dignity and honour of such student or expose students to ridicule and affect their self esteem or entail verbal abuse, aggregation, indecent gesture and obscene behaviour. Any student found involved in ragging will be punished strictly and such penalisation may include:

  1. Legal proceedings under criminal law shall be initiated. It includes imprisonment for a term which may extend up to 3 years or with fine which may extend to ₹ 50,000/- or both.

  2. Suspension or expulsion from hostel or mess;

  3. Debarring from representation in events;

  4. Withholding scholarships and other benefits;

  5. Fine with a public apology;

  6. Suspension from the classes;

  7. Expulsion from the college;


 

ACCUMULATION OF CREDITS & EVALUATION SYSTEM:

  1. Accumulation of Credits:

A student will have to accumulate 132 credits for a bachelor’s degree over a minimum of three and maximum of five years from the date of admission. For the successful completion of a course, a student is required to obtain minimum 35% marks separately in CCS and ESE and at least 45% marks in aggregate of ESE & CCS.

  1. CLASSROOM ATTENDANCE: - A student has to attend a minimum of 75 % lectures/tutorials and practicals failing which he/ she will not be allowed to appear in ESE. The incentive for classroom attendance is:

75% but <80% 1 Mark

80% but <85% 2 Marks

85% but <90% 3 Marks

90% but <95% 4 Marks

More than 95% 5 Marks

  1. END YEAR EXAMINATION (EYE): The 70% of the final grade for in a course will be on the basis of and End Year Examinations of 3 hours duration covering the whole syllabus.

NOTE: Only those students will be eligible to appear in the End Year Examinations who have been successful in CCA.
