ROAD SAFETY CLUB

Road Safety Club was established in this college on February 02, 2021 under the direction received from Director of Higher Education vide letter No. –EDN-HE-(21) F (10) 13/2021-Road safety Club dated November17, 2021 regarding establishment of Road Safety Clubs in educational Institutions. It was done to make young generation aware about the road safety issues at an early age. The club was given a formal structure by framing its executive body (which was finalized by the worthy Principal-Dr.Anju Bala Sharma.)

The club proposes an active involvement of students in social activities related to road safety awareness.
It proposes to raise student awareness about road safety.
It aims to observe ‘Road Safety Week’ every year and educate road users about traffic rules and regulations, road safety negligence and tips for safety.
It aims to inculcate skills among students to train others about road safety.
Free from profit motive, it acts to mediate and assist Government in implementing road safety programmes.

The club conducts a number of activities to spread awareness about road safety among students in which there are painting competitions, slogan writing, declamation, skit, lecture by an expert on road safety issues and road safety pledge. In short, the objective to constitute this Road Safety Club is to create awareness among the students as well as the people of adjacent area, and the club has always been there to serve whole-heartedly.
